Brazil: The Blessing – A Benção (Portuguese)
Canada: The Church in Canada is beautiful, broad and diverse, and it is nearly impossible
to accurately represent the full breadth of the church in Canada from coast to coast
to coast.
Canada: “Mabrika” is close in meaning to the word “blessings” in Karina, one of the many First
Peoples languages spoken in Canada. The literal translation is “welcome, come, and
be blessed.” It carries the sense that as you come, you will be protected.
Canada: A mix of song, dance, and flag-waving from this area of Canada.
Caribbean: With this special Papiamentu version of “The Blessing,” we’d like to spark hope for
Papiamentu-speaking people worldwide—especially on our beautiful island of Curaçao.
Cuba: The Church of Christ in Cuba has decided to rise up in the middle of this time filled
with fear and doubts about the future, to declare God’s blessing over our beautiful
nation and its generations. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to make this
a reality.
Hawaii: A gift from the Churches of Hawai‘i: The Hawai‘i Blessing was recorded during the
first week of May 2020 by worship leaders from 25 churches across all six major islands
of Hawai‘i.
Hawaii: Benediksyon (The Blessing cover in Haitian Creole).
Jamaica: Musicians of Providence Methodist Church joined together (virtually) to offer this
blessing over our church family and our island home, Jamaica.
Latin America: This is an initiative to unite churches and friends across the continent to declare
these words over your life. We were inspired by what friends have done in other parts
of the world and wanted to make this possible in Latin America.
La Bendición / The Blessing – Misael Jiménez y Amigos: I was at London airport when I first heard this song. I was trying to hold back tears
right there because it touched my life deeply. I imagined singing this song over my
generations and them being blessed.
Mexico: We decided to join this initiative, collaborating with friends and churches from various
places in Mexico, because the church is more united than ever.
New York: In 2020, New York City became the epicenter of the COVID-19 virus, with over 25,000
deaths. Later, the streets filled with rage, fear, and frustration crying out for
justice. But the Church rose up united to lament, listen, learn, and lead in this
crisis.
Peru: In this difficult time we are living through, we unite with one voice to exalt His
name and tell you that you are not alone. The church buildings are closed, but don’t
forget: we are the church!
Toronto: The Blessing Toronto is a virtual collaboration of 70 Toronto gospel artists, worship
leaders, music directors, and pastors from across the city, proclaiming a blessing
over Toronto and cities around the world.
Venezuela: In challenging times we join our voices with those around the world declaring #TheBlessing
of the Almighty over every person.
US Navy and Family: Studio Makalapa presents the Makalapa Virtual Light Orchestra (MVLO) and Choir’s cover
of Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes’ “The Blessing.” We are composed of U.S. Navy sailors,
friends, and family scattered around the world.
Pittsburgh Blessing: The first city-wide blessing in the US, featuring a virtual choir of 30 churches during
the 2020 Easter season.
The Arab World: Believers from 16 Arab nations, including North African and American diaspora communities,
unite in one voice.
A Bênção Brazil: The most popular Portuguese rendition by Aline Brasil, capturing the heart of the
movement in South America.
